The Depression over South West Bay of Bengal had moved on WNW & weakened into a WML by crossing South Indian coast last night.
Multispectral satellite animation is showing some rotations of the exposed LLCC with deep convection sheared to the west of the system center.
It is being located near Vellore, India.

★Winds(1min avg):-
Average Maximum Wind speed in radius of 50km from the low level center is 35km/h.
Gusting up to 45km/h.

★Forecast:-
The System is overland & having no chance of regeneration as of now. It will continue to weaken gradually until it dissipates into an ordinary circulation.
•It could weaken into a Low Pressure Aea within next 6-12hrs & could be dissipated within subsequent 12-18hrs.

★Movement:-
It has moved on WNW direction during past 6hrs with the average speed of 14km/h.
*From the present location, it could move generally WNW/West over South India & dissipate.

★Landfall:-
It had crossed Southern Indian coast between Chennai & Puducherry last night(18-19th) as a Depression.

★Warning:-
Tamil Nadu & South Andhra Pradesh coast could continue to have winds of 25-35kph winds with gusting up to 45kph during the next 12hrs. Then, Warning will be cancelled.

★Advisory:-
Fishermen & Small boats are requested to not to venture into the South-West Bay & neighborhood areas during next 12hrs.
Sea condition could start to be calm tomorrow.

★Rainfall:-
South India could still have some scattered light to moderate rainalong with gusty winds during next 1/2 days.
